Like many punks in their 30s, Jonathan Minor spends most of his time working food and bev and doing incredibly non-punk things like paying bills, shopping for groceries, and getting a full night’s sleep. But while he’s doing all of this, he’s being followed. Everywhere he goes, the ghosts of his past are always there. The ghosts of past mistakes. The ghosts of good times. The ghosts of those lost. The ghosts of self loss.
These specters are the inspiration for Haunters. Channeling the punk inspiration from the dozen bands he’s been a part of, Minor has created a project that fuses post-punk with folk, modern emo with tinges of pop, Jawbreaker with The Postal Service. The first distillation of Haunters’ music has been born as listless//stranded, an eight track album written over the last eleven years. Dropping on Halloween 2018, the album is guaranteed to define your Fall. With the soft cries of these ghosts cutting through to the unconscious mind, you might even start to notice …
you’re being followed too.
